Man Jailed for Horrific 18-Hour Kidnap and Assault in Aberdeen
Leslie Jackson, 38, has been locked up for eight years following a savage abduction and brutal assault on a woman in Aberdeen. The terrifying attack happened on July 30, 2022, in the Kittybrewster area.
Guilty Plea Brings Justice
Jackson pleaded guilty at Glasgow High Court on June 5, 2024. He admitted to charges including abduction, assault causing severe injury, permanent disfigurement, and endangering life. Detective Inspector Andrew Machray described the crime as “horrendous” after the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
Victim Held Captive for 18 Hours Before Daring Escape
The woman was held captive for 18 hours before managing to escape. Jackson’s sentencing offers some closure to the survivor and sends a strong message that violence like this has no place in our communities.
“Police Scotland remain committed to bringing perpetrators of such vile crimes to justice,” added officials.
