Vandals Slash Wires Across City: Nine Sites Hit in One Night

Chaos struck the city overnight from Friday 7 June to early Saturday 8 June 2024, as vandals cut wires at nine different locations. The targets included Heaton Road, Bishops Way, Beaconsfield Road, Hardy Road, Forty Acres Road, Westgate Court Avenue, Beverley Road, and New Ruttington Lane.

Damage Continues: More Telegraph Poles Attacked Days Later

The mayhem didn’t stop there. Between the evening of Tuesday 11 June and the following morning, seven more telegraph poles were found vandalised in Squire Avenue, Shipman Avenue, and Wife of Bath Hill.

Police Urge Locals to Come Forward
