Teen Dies After Horror Incident at West Wittering Beach
A 17-year-old boy has tragically died after an incident in the sea off West Wittering beach. Emergency services rushed to the scene around 1pm Tuesday following concerns for the teenager’s welfare in the water.

The teenager, part of a school group from Uxbridge College in London, was airlifted to hospital but sadly pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed. The heartbreaking loss has sent shockwaves through the college community.
Police Investigate, Health and Safety Getting Involved
Detective Inspector Darren Taylor offered his condolences, saying, “This was an absolutely tragic incident, and I would like to extend my sincere sympathies to the boy’s loved ones during this heartbreaking time.”
