Disturbing Messages Discovered by Victim’s Mother

On 28 February last year, the victim’s mother uncovered disturbing Instagram messages from Dyer, including sexually explicit texts, videos, and voice notes sent to the victim between 2 and 20 February.

Dyer was already under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order forbidding contact with anyone under 16 — an order he flagrantly broke.

Detective Vows Justice and Support for Victims

“James Dyer is a prolific offender and I am glad he will remain in prison for these crimes,” said Detective Constable Jill Collett. “Thames Valley Police are committed to prosecuting child sex offences and protecting the public.”

She urged victims or those suspecting abuse to contact the police. “We have trained officers ready to listen and support you. Reach out via our website, call 101, or visit a police station.”
