Man Hospitalised After Assault in Greenwich’s General Gordon Square

Police were called at 2:14am on Monday, 16 September, following reports of an assault in General Gordon Square, Greenwich. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene, where a man in his 40s was found with a head injury after being struck with a bottle.

The victim has been taken to hospital, where the severity of his injuries is currently being assessed.

The crime scene has since been closed, and the investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at 2:14hrs on Monday, 16 September to reports of a man being assaulted on General Gordon Sq, Greenwich.
Officers and paramedics from LAS attended and found a man in his 40’s had been struck in the head with a bottle. The man has been taken to hospital where the severity of his injuries is being assessed.
The crime scene has now been closed. The investigation is ongoing.
No one has been arrested at this time.
