A 31-year-old man from Maidstone has been charged in connection with the theft of a BMW X5 and remanded into custody.
Liam Wells was arrested following the theft of the vehicle from a driveway in Gault Close, Bearsted, late on Friday 30 August 2024. The stolen BMW was later found abandoned nearby on the following day.
Maidstone officers detained Wells on Wednesday 11 September at an address in the area. He has since been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and possession of cannabis.
The suspect appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 13 September and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday 19 September at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court.
