Police in Eastbourne have nabbed a 57-year-old man linked to a shocking attempted robbery on Seaside Road. The drama unfolded around 9pm on Thursday, 18 July, when a teenage girl, aged just 15, was confronted by a knifewielding attacker near the junction with Southbourne Road.
Hero Bystander Chases Off Knife-Wielding Suspect
The suspect demanded the girl’s belongings, threatening her with a knife. Luckily, a quick-thinking passerby stepped in, forcing the man to flee empty-handed. The young victim escaped unharmed but left visibly shaken by the encounter.
