A Salisbury man has been charged with several offences following an incident in the city. Mark Day, 37, of Coberley Drive, Salisbury, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today, where he was remanded into custody.
Day has been charged with assault, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen, possession of a class B drug, and criminal damage.
Detective Sergeant Nugent of South CID praised the response efforts, saying, “This was excellent teamwork which involved multiple departments, including the neighbourhood policing team, CID, the dogs unit, and a police helicopter. I’d also like to thank the members of the public who called in about this incident – their support was invaluable.”
The investigation continues as Day remains in custody, with further court proceedings expected in the coming weeks.
