Historic Child Abuser Christopher Pearce Jailed for 16 Years

Christopher George Pearce, 59, of Chelsea, has finally been locked up for 16 years. The Metropolitan Police have cracked down on this prolific child abuser, proving their fierce commitment to hunting down predators and protecting children.

Abuse Spanning 1984 to 1988 Exposed

Pearce’s vile crimes began in 1984 in Hammersmith, targeting two victims aged just 5 and 7. His abuse didn’t stop there — between 1984 and 1988, he preyed on two more children aged 6 and 7 in Chelsea. The horror only came to light decades later when brave survivors spoke out.

Met Police Crack Case After Online Grooming Sting

In March 2020, Pearce was caught trying to groom what he believed was a child online. This sparked a full investigation by specialist officers. After his arrest, two victims courageously stepped forward to help build the case. Police recovered evidence dating back to 1988 and conducted thorough interviews to nail the predator.

Detective’s Message: “Come Forward – We Will Listen”

Detective Superintendent Tony Larkin said: “I want to thank the victims for their bravery in coming forward. Their courage inspires others to report abuse, no matter how long ago it happened.

Pearce has been an incredibly dangerous child sex offender since 1984. He is now behind bars and cannot harm more children.

The officers involved deserve huge credit for their determination securing justice. I urge any victims to come forward. We will listen and support you.”
