White Van Deliberately Targets Teens on Swindon Pavement

A white van mounted the pavement just before 10pm on Wednesday, March 3, in a shocking incident on Dorcan Way, Swindon. The driver is believed to have deliberately driven at two teenagers near the Holiday Inn junction, between Coate Water and Snodshill roundabouts.

One Teenager Knocked Off Bike But Escapes Injury

One of the victims was knocked from his bike but, thankfully, escaped without injuries. Detective Constable Tracy McClafferty from Swindon CID described the incident as “serious” and warned it could have caused life-threatening harm.

“This was a serious incident and could easily have resulted in one or two people suffering severe, if not fatal, injuries,” said Det Con McClafferty.

Police Hunt Driver and Vehicle – Dashcam Footage Needed

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage from the area around 9.40pm to come forward.
