Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Islington are appealing for witnesses or road users with dashcam footage to come forward.
The incident occurred at approximately 2.25pm on Thursday, 3 October, involving a double-decker bus and a pedestrian on Baron Street, at the junction with White Lion Street, N1. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service following reports of the collision.
Emergency services attended the scene and provided first aid, but despite their efforts, the pedestrian—a woman in her 60s—sadly died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed, and specially trained officers are providing them with support.
Road closures were put in place while authorities dealt with the scene.
The bus driver, a man in his 40s, stopped at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
