Hero rushes in as four dogs attack young kids in Orpington!

Terrifying Attack on Children and Woman

Chaos erupted on Mickleham Road, Orpington, around 9am on October 5 when four dogs viciously attacked two young children, aged 4 and 6, and a 30-year-old woman. McArthur Okorocha sprang into action after hearing desperate screams from neighbours.

Brave Rescue Amid Stalking Dogs

“I heard the mum shouting to the girl to ‘get out’ and ‘run out.’ Then I saw the dogs biting the girl, so I rushed over to separate her from the dogs. I noticed another little boy being attacked as well,” Okorocha revealed.

Despite the dogs trying to attack him, Okorocha grabbed the girl and tried to reach the boy. He quickly called 999 and enlisted neighbours to alert the police.

Emergency Services Step In

Police arrived swiftly, restraining the dogs and taking them to kennels. The injured children and woman were rushed to hospital, but thankfully, all suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

Woman Arrested Over Dangerous Dogs

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control and remains in police custody.

Superintendent Mitch Carr said:

“This incident has understandably caused public concern, especially due to the young age of the children involved. Fortunately, their injuries are not life-threatening. Extra officers will patrol the area to provide reassurance.”

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service confirmed their prompt response. The ambulance service dispatched crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance. All three victims were taken to a major trauma centre by road.

Thanks to Okorocha’s quick thinking and emergency teams’ fast action, a tragedy was averted. Police are continuing their investigation into the attack.
