Police are appealing for witnesses after an arson attack at Littlehampton Marina destroyed multiple vehicles in the early hours of Tuesday morning (October 15).
At around 12:14 am, fire crews were called to the scene after a fire broke out in the yard. Three vans were completely destroyed, and two other vehicles sustained significant damage in the blaze. As firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, three individuals wearing high-visibility jackets were seen standing on the A259 bridge, which crosses the River Arun just north of the marina, near Tesco.
Investigators are keen to speak to these three people, who were observed watching the scene from the bridge. It is unclear whether they are witnesses or involved in the incident, but police are eager to identify them for further information.
Authorities are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around midnight, or who may have dashcam footage capturing activity near the bridge, to come forward.
