One Dead and 15 Injured After Train Collision in Powys

A tragic train collision near Llanbrynmair in Powys has claimed the life of one person, with 15 others injured, British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed. The incident occurred this evening, prompting a major emergency response.

Multi-Agency Response

The collision, which happened shortly before 7:30 pm, saw emergency services from multiple agencies rushing to the scene. British Transport Police, Dyfed-Powys Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, HM Coastguard, and rail industry experts were all involved in the response effort.

Casualties and Evacuations

Sadly, BTP has confirmed that a man has died as a result of the collision. His next of kin have been informed, and specialist officers are providing support to his family during this difficult time.
