A man is in serious condition following a single-car collision in Erdington, Birmingham, early Sunday morning. West Midlands Ambulance Service received an emergency 999 call at 4:46 a.m. on November 3, 2024, reporting the incident on Kingsbury Road.
Emergency response teams, including two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma team, arrived at the scene within five minutes of the call. According to a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service, “On arrival, crews found a passenger, a man, trapped in the car in a serious condition. The team of ambulance staff worked quickly with fire colleagues to rapidly extricate him from the car whilst providing trauma care.”
After stabilising the man’s condition at the scene, paramedics transported him on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further trauma treatment.
No other occupants were found at the scene, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Emergency services are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
