Witnesses and Dashcam Footage Sought After Fatal Collision on M2 Near Faversham

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and multiple vehicles on the M2 near Faversham.

The incident occurred on the coastbound carriageway between Junctions 5 (Sittingbourne) and 6 (Faversham) shortly after 8 PM on Wednesday, 20 November 2024.

Emergency Response

Officers from Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a man in his 50s was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed.

The coastbound carriageway remains closed, and the London-bound side is also temporarily shut. Police have advised that the London-bound carriageway is expected to reopen around 4 PM today.

Investigation Underway

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is working to establish the circumstances leading to the collision. Officers are particularly interested in hearing from:
