Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault on a Route 59 bus in Brixton Road, SW9, that has left a 40-year-old man in a life-threatening condition.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 am on Thursday, November 21, when a disturbance between two men escalated on the bus. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the injured man was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His family has been informed.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody. At this stage, it is believed no weapons were involved in the incident, but detectives are conducting extensive inquiries to determine the full circumstances.

The Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation and is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward.
