Boy, 16, Dies in Car Crash That Left Three Teens Seriously Injured in West Sussex

A 16-year-old boy has tragically died following a serious car crash in the village of Westbourne, West Sussex. The incident occurred late last night (November 27) on Emsworth Common Road, involving a Vauxhall Corsa.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 10:45 PM. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the teenage boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three Others Injured

Three other teenagers—two 17-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy—were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young boy who tragically lost his life. We are working hard to establish the full circumstances of this incident.”

Investigation Underway

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage that may provide information about the crash or the vehicle’s movements prior to the collision. Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who believes they saw the Vauxhall Corsa in the area before the incident.
