Young Woman Dies After Collapsing in Belfast Nightclub

A devastating night in Belfast ended in tragedy when Chloe Ferris, a woman in her 20s, collapsed at Lux nightclub just after 2:20 am on Sunday. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Chloe was pronounced dead at the nightclub.

Another woman collapsed at the same time and was taken to hospital. Her condition remains unknown.

Remembering Chloe Ferris: A Bright Life Cut Short

A death notice for Chloe remembered her as a “beloved daughter,” “much-loved sister, aunt, niece, and cousin,” and a dear friend to many. Known fondly as part of the “Sister Squad,” her passing has deeply affected her community.

Chloe was a trainee at Enhance Belfast, a beauty training academy, where she was praised for her bubbly and bright personality. One instructor said:

“I had the privilege to teach Chloe. She was such a lovely and vibrant student.”

The academy called her sudden death “absolutely heartbreaking.” St Clare’s Primary School, where Chloe studied as a child, also sent their “deepest sympathy” to her family.

Police Launch Investigation as Club Remains Closed

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has opened an investigation into the incident. They are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Lux nightclub said:

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with Chloe’s parents and family during this very difficult time. Our focus is now on supporting the police investigation and the wellbeing of our staff.”

As a mark of respect and to aid inquiries, Lux remained closed on Sunday evening.
