Isle of Wight Mourns Beloved Charity Founder Nikki Flux-Edmonds
Island Hero Loses Brave Cancer Battle
The Isle of Wight community is heartbroken after the passing of Nikki Flux-Edmonds, founder of the local charity Kezi’s Kindness. Nikki was the mother of six-year-old Keziah, who tragically died in 2016. After a fierce fight against cancer, Nikki finally lost her battle, leaving the Island a little darker.
Diagnosed in December 2023 with aggressive cancer that had spread to three areas, Nikki defied grim odds, surviving four months longer than doctors predicted. Her family shared the sad news on Facebook Saturday morning, praising her strength and courage throughout her illness.
From Tragedy to Triumph: A Community’s Beacon
In a devastating blow, Nikki lost her daughter Keziah in June 2016 when she was killed by her father at their East Cowes home. The tragedy shook the entire community.
But Nikki turned heartbreak into hope. Two years after Keziah’s death, she opened the Bumble Bee Garden—a children’s play park just metres from their home. Nikki called it “Keziah’s gift to everyone.” Tirelessly fundraising to equip the park with the best play facilities, she saw it grow to include a slide and climbing frame earlier this year, providing endless joy to Island children.
Kezi’s Kindness: Helping Hands for Island Families
Nikki founded Kezi’s Kindness to spread joy and support local kids. The charity funds school trips, hands out Easter and Christmas treats, and offers vital help to families in need. Thanks to Nikki’s dedication, thousands of children on the Isle of Wight still smile a little brighter.
Community Pays Tribute to a Tireless Fighter
“Cancer is a horrible disease and strikes indiscriminately. She fought and fought and fought and gained an extra 4 months,” shared Kezi’s Kindness on Facebook.
The Island has been flooded with heartfelt condolences and gratitude for Nikki’s selfless work. Many remember her as an inspiring figure who transformed personal tragedy into a powerful force for good.
Her Legacy Lives On
Nikki Flux-Edmonds’s remarkable spirit will live on through the Bumble Bee Garden, Kezi’s Kindness charity, and the countless lives she touched. The Isle of Wight will forever remember her as a symbol of hope, resilience, and the true power of kindness.
Funeral arrangements and details on how to support Kezi’s Kindness in Nikki’s memory will be announced soon.
