Man Charged Following Collisions in Primrose Hill

A man has been charged following a series of incidents in Primrose Hill where pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Daniel Sterling, 40, of Well Walk, Camden, was arrested shortly after the events unfolded and has now been charged with multiple offences.

Details of the Charges

On Thursday, 2 January, Sterling was formally charged with the following:

  • Dangerous driving
  • Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
  • Failing to provide a drug test
  • Assault by beating
  • Possession of a knife in a public place
  • A racially aggravated public order offence under Section 4a of the Public Order Act

Court Appearance

Sterling was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later on Thursday.

Background

The incidents occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, with emergency services responding to reports of pedestrians being struck by a vehicle in the Primrose Hill area. The injured parties were treated at the scene, and several were transported to the hospital.

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collisions.
