Investigators are seeking a key witness to come forward following a reported disturbance in Chatham. The incident, which involved occupants of two separate vehicles, occurred on Magpie Hall Road at approximately 3pm on Wednesday, 8 December 2024.
Reports indicate that a verbal and physical altercation took place between a man and a woman from one vehicle and a woman and a teenage girl from another. Police were called to the scene, and all involved parties have since been interviewed.
Officers are now appealing for any additional witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police. They are particularly interested in locating a woman who reportedly stopped at the scene and informed those present that she had recorded the incident on her mobile phone.
A police spokesperson stated: “We are urging this individual, as well as any other potential witnesses, to come forward and assist with our investigation.
Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to call 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/208154/24. Local residents with CCTV and motorists with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident are also urged to check for any relevant recordings.
Authorities continue their inquiries, and the public is advised to assist where possible in providing any evidence that may aid the investigation.
