Woman Injured After Collision Between Cyclist and Pedestrian on Great Russell Street
Crash Sparks Emergency Response
Emergency services rushed to Great Russell Street, WC1, after a cyclist collided with a pedestrian at around 2:05pm on Sunday, 9 February. A woman sustained injuries and was swiftly taken to hospital. Her condition remains unknown.
Police Launch Investigation
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service arrived quickly at the scene. Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing to piece together what led to the crash.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 1:58pm to reports of a cyclist colliding with a pedestrian on Great Russell Street. Multiple resources were sent, including an incident response officer, a paramedic in a fast response car, and London’s Air Ambulance by road. We treated one patient at the scene and transported them to hospital.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers urge anyone who saw the collision or has any information to call the police on 101 and quote the incident reference number.
