Crash Sparks Major Emergency Response

A pedestrian and a child were rushed to hospital after a bus crashed into a man on Kidbrooke Park Road this afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police were called at around 1:23pm following reports that a man had been hit by a bus. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were quick to arrive and tend to the injured.

Road Shut for Over an Hour

Kidbrooke Park Road was closed for about an hour to allow emergency crews to work safely. The road reopened just after 2:30pm.

The police confirmed both the pedestrian and a child passenger on the bus were taken to hospital. Luckily, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“Police were called at 13:23hrs on Sunday, 23 February to an incident where a male pedestrian was hit by a bus on Kidbrooke Park Road, SE3. A road closure was put in place while emergency services attended the scene. Both the pedestrian and a child passenger on the bus were taken to hospital. Investigation Underway

Police are treating the collision as accidental but are keeping all options open. They are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward and help with the investigation.
