A Community Mourns Ant’s Sudden Loss

Anthony “Ant” Liddell, a much-loved dad of two, died following a horrific road traffic collision on Shenley Road, Borehamwood, late on Saturday, February 22. The 15- and 20-year-old sons of Ant have lost their father, leaving his family heartbroken.

In an emotional tribute, Ant’s family described him as a “social, lively, and loveable” character who was a fixture in his local community. “Ant was born and bred in Elstree and had so many friends around here,” they said. “He loved football, supporting both Arsenal and Borehamwood.”

Beyond his football fanaticism, Ant was famed for his kindness. “He was a big family man who always helped those in need,” the family added. “If we had to sum him up in one word, it would be ‘loveable.’”

The family thanked everyone for their support but have asked for privacy as they grieve this devastating loss.
