Emergency Chaos at Erith Station After Person Found Trackside
Emergency crews raced to Erith Railway Station early Monday after reports of a person dangerously close to the tracks sparked a major response and halted trains.

At around 8am on March 24, 2025, British Transport Police (BTP), London Fire Brigade, paramedics, and railway staff rushed to Stonewood Road’s Erith Station. The individual was quickly located and is now receiving medical treatment.
A BTP spokesperson said: “We were called to Erith railway station following reports of a person on the tracks. Officers are in attendance along with London Fire Brigade and paramedics. The incident is being dealt with, and further updates will be provided in due course.”

The emergency presence caused immediate disruption to rail services. Trains through Erith were held or diverted while safety checks were underway.
