Parents in Harlow on High Alert Over Child Predator on the Loose

Parents in Harlow are being urged to stay vigilant after anonymous social media posts warned of a convicted child predator still roaming free and targeting young children.

Known Predator Breaching Bail Conditions

The man, already under police investigation for grooming and sexually abusing multiple children — including a 12-year-old victim — remains at large despite strong forensic evidence like DNA and victim statements. Under strict bail terms, he is banned from being near children under 16 without supervision, but reports claim he is ignoring these conditions. Alarmingly, he is now believed to be attempting to groom a girl under 12.

Using Snapchat to Target Kids

The predator reportedly uses Snapchat to secretly contact children, raising fresh fears over online safety and the ease predators have to exploit social media platforms.

Family Shielding and Ongoing Investigation

Anonymous sources say at least five victims have come forward. They also allege the predator’s family is protecting him, making it harder to stop his actions. Due to legal restrictions, police cannot reveal his identity yet.

Warning to Parents: Stay Alert and Protect Your Kids

Parents are urged to:

  • Regularly check their children’s phones and online chats.
  • Warn kids about the dangers of talking to strangers online, even if they seem known.
  • Report any suspicious behaviour to police immediately.

“Our children deserve better protection. I will not stay silent while others could be at risk.”

Authorities have been contacted for comment. Meanwhile, local leaders urge families to stay proactive and cautious.
