Whalebone Lane South Dagenham Crash: Woman Rescued After Car Overturns in Four-Vehicle Pile-Up – UKNIP

A dramatic collision on Whalebone Lane South in Dagenham left a woman trapped after a car overturned onto its side in a four-vehicle crash.

Emergency services rushed to the scene around 7.15pm yesterday (April 30), following reports of a serious road traffic collision. Shocking footage posted to social media shows a white car flipped onto its side, while another vehicle appears crumpled into the side of a bus.

Emergency Response

London Fire Brigade confirmed that two fire engines and a specialist fire rescue unit from Ilford and East Ham fire stations responded swiftly.
A spokesperson said:

“Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Whalebone Lane South in Dagenham. Four vehicles were involved in a collision, with one overturning onto its side. Firefighters released a woman who had become trapped inside a vehicle.”

The Brigade confirmed that the incident was brought under control within 20 minutes, with crews called at 7:18pm and the scene cleared by 7:39pm.

The extent of any injuries remains unconfirmed, and it is not yet clear whether any arrests have been made.

Both the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further details.

Local residents described hearing a loud crash followed by sirens as emergency crews descended on the busy Dagenham road.

Road Closures and Traffic Delays

Temporary road closures were put in place while firefighters worked to free the trapped woman and clear the wreckage. Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the peak evening period.
