Firefighters Race to Rescue on Chigwell Road
Emergency services scrambled to South Woodford late Friday, after a serious road traffic collision left a driver trapped in their vehicle. At around 9:25pm on 16 May 2025, London Fire Brigade was called to the crash at the junction of Chigwell Road and Maybank Road (E18).
Fire crews arrived swiftly with specialist cutting equipment. They worked quickly to free the trapped individual, while police secured the scene and paramedics treated those involved.
