A 26-year-old man is due in court today in connection with a fatal fail-to-stop collision that killed 19-year-old Ashton Kitchen-White in Leeds. The incident, which occurred on Friday, 16 May, remains under active investigation, as police now seek three more suspects.
Regan Kemp, 26, of Lafrowda Close, St Just, Penzance, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He is set to appear before magistrates as part of the ongoing case.
Details of the Collision
At approximately 10:09 PM, Ashton Kitchen-White was struck by a red Ford Focus while on Ring Road Beeston Park in Middleton, Leeds. The driver failed to stop at the scene, and the vehicle was later recovered nearby.
Two males, aged 19 and 15, were initially arrested but have since been released from police bail and are no longer considered suspects.
Three Suspects Named
West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team has now named three men they are seeking in connection with the incident:
- Regan Kemp, 26 – From St Just, Penzance (now charged)
- Macauley Martin, 26 – From Livingston, West Lothian
- Liam Miller, 24 – From Polbeth, West Lothian
Police believe the Ford Focus travelled from Scotland to Leeds shortly before the fatal collision and that Kemp has returned to Cornwall.
