A man and woman in their 20s have been rushed to hospital following a double stabbing at a residential property in Ilford this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Southbourne Gardens at 2:30pm on Wednesday 23 July, where both victims were found with stab wounds.

Paramedics and Air Ambulance Respond

Officers from the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene. Both victims were transported to hospital, where their injuries were confirmed not to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police Launch Investigation – Suspect at Large

A crime scene is in place and a police investigation has been launched. As of Wednesday evening:

  • No arrests have been made
  • One suspect remains outstanding
  • Officers are conducting door-to-door enquiries and reviewing local CCTV

The motive for the attack has not yet been disclosed.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant footage to come forward by calling 101, quoting reference CAD 4343/23Jul, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
