Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Beating 60-Year-Old to Death in Charlton

A brutal attack in Charlton has ended with a man jailed for a decade. Radoslaw Brzezicki, 42, of Erwood Road, Charlton, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, 23 July. He was convicted last month of manslaughter following the violent death of 60-year-old Robert Dlugosz.

Violent Argument Turns Deadly

The deadly assault happened on 22 November 2023 at Robert’s home. Brzezicki violently attacked him during a heated argument. A woman in her 40s was also assaulted but managed to escape and alert a passerby, who called 123 emergency services.

Police Praise Brave Witness in Court

Detective Samantha Townsend from the Met’s Specialist Crime South praised the surviving victim’s crucial testimony. She said:

“We hope that this sentence will provide some closure to Mr Dlugosz’s family and friends. I would once again like to pay tribute to the surviving victim in this case, whose evidence proved essential to securing a conviction and lengthy prison sentence for Brzezicki.”

Justice Served in Charlton

With Brzezicki behind bars for 10 years, justice has been served for the tragic killing in Charlton. The court hopes the sentence brings some peace to Robert’s family and loved ones.
