Blaze Breaks Out at BIC

An arson investigation is underway after a fire ripped through the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Monday night. Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the blaze started deliberately.

The emergency call came in just after 7:30pm on 4 August. Flames engulfed the exterior of the venue on Exeter Road, sending shockwaves through the area.

Arrest Made as Police Probe Motive

Dorset Police have swooped, making an arrest in connection with the incident.

“We believe the fire to have been started deliberately, and an arrest has been made by Dorset Police. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident,” the fire service said.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. The building was empty at the time and had no events planned that evening.
