Two Men Face Murder Charges After Fatal Lewisham Stabbing

Two men have appeared at the Old Bailey accused of a brutal stabbing in Lewisham. The incident unfolded shortly before 7.30pm when emergency services were called to reports of a man bleeding heavily in a front garden.

Victim Stabbed in the Chest Before Attackers Fled

Paramedics arrived first but despite their efforts, Mr Aladejana succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Witnesses say after a brief exchange, one of the accused, Wazabanga, stabbed the victim once in the chest before jumping back into a car and fleeing with accomplice Belfon and two children.

Defendants Appear at Court; Trial Set for April 2026

The two men appeared in person in court, while Belfon joined via video link from HMP Bronzefield. Both defendants are Belgian nationals. The court has scheduled a plea hearing for 23 October 2025, with a provisional four-week trial set to begin on 13 April 2026. Both men were remanded in custody pending trial.
