Tragedy at Seaford Station: 16-Year-Old Stabbed to Death

A teenage boy has died after a stabbing at Seaford railway station tonight, sparking a major murder probe by British Transport Police (BTP).

Deadly Attack Shocks Sussex

Police were called to the scene at around 5pm following reports of a stabbing. Officers from BTP, Sussex Police, and paramedics rushed in to find the 16-year-old suffering a serious stab wound. Despite frantic attempts to save him, the young victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Teen Held Over Murder

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. BTP said enquiries are “ongoing at pace” to piece together what led to the savage attack.

Seaford station is closed while forensic teams conduct searches and investigations.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Stanley said: “This is a shocking incident which has resulted in the tragic loss of a young man this evening. The investigation remains in the early stages and the station will remain closed while we continue our enquiries in the area. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or the lead up to it, to get in touch as you may have vital information which could help our investigation.”
