Two Drug Dealers Jailed for Running Notorious ‘Jo Jo Hove’ Supply Line
Major Hove Drug Bust Nets £6,000 Stash
Two men behind a major drug ring in Hove have been locked up for dealing a cocktail of class A substances. Anas Elorby, 25, from Croydon, and 26-year-old Moteeb Ahmad, who has no fixed address, were sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on 11 September after pleading guilty to multiple drug supply offences.
Both had prior convictions for class A drug supply from 2022. The probe began in May when police stopped a suspicious 20-year-old in Brighton caught with class A drugs and a blade. That arrest led officers to a Down Terrace address, where they found phones containing drug price lists tied to the infamous ‘Jo Jo Hove’ network.
£6K Worth of Cocaine, MDMA, Meth and Ketamine Seized
The investigation peaked with a raid on 7 August at a property in Brunswick Terrace, Hove. Officers uncovered a stash worth over £6,000 including cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine, ketamine, and cannabis. They also seized several mobile phones and £1,200 in cash.
Sentences Handed Down: Years Behind Bars
Both men were arrested at the scene. Elorby was slapped with charges including being involved in supplying class A drugs and possession of criminal property. Ahmad faced similar counts. The judge handed down four-and-a-half years for Elorby and four years and three months for Ahmad.

“I am pleased the sentencing reflects the seriousness of the offences committed repeatedly by these two men,” said PC Emily Begley. “We remain committed to disrupting drug supply in Brighton and across Sussex. Our priority is catching criminals and keeping communities safe.”
