A fatal motorcycle crash shocked Plumstead just after midnight on September 30. At 12:08am, emergency crews rushed to Lakedale Road following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

Paramedics Battle to Save Rider

Officers and London Ambulance Service Teamsteams arrived to find a man in his 20s with severe head injuries. He was treated on site before being rushed to hospital. Tragically, despite frantic medical efforts, he died shortly after arrival.

Police Investigate, Roads Still Closed

The man’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. A forensic tent is still up at the scene as police continue their investigation. Multiple road closures remain in place, causing disruption for local residents.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At 12:08am on Tuesday, September 30 officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Lakedale Road, Plumstead. One man in his 20s was found with significant head injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene then quickly taken to hospital. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services and medical staff he died shortly after arriving. The man’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A forensic tent remains at the scene and several road closures remain in place.”
