Housing Officer Jailed for Sexual Assault on Duty
A temporary housing officer has been locked up for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman while on the job. Paul Badley, 58, employed by 1 Borough Council, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault, Warwickshire Police confirmed.
Disturbing Attack During Home Visit
In June 2023, Badley was sent to help the victim move house. Instead, he crossed the line, kissing her without consent and groping her by lifting her top and kissing her chest. The horrified victim reported the vile attack to police as soon as Badley left.
Swift Arrest and Harsh Sentence
- Badley was snapped up by police just two days after the complaint
- Rugby Borough Council wasted no time and sacked him immediately
- A four-day trial in August ended with a unanimous guilty verdict
- Jailed for 2 years and 8 months
- Hit with a seven-year restraining order
- Added to the Sex Offenders’ Register for life
