Teen Girl Assaulted Outside Busy Farnborough Shopping Centre
Police are hunting a creeper who harassed a teenage girl outside a busy Farnborough shopping spot. The shocking incident happened just after 4pm on Monday, April 25, at The Meads Shopping Centre.
Girl Targeted Outside Starbucks
The 16-year-old victim was chilling in the seating area outside Starbucks when a strange man suddenly approached, asking if she was OK. Trying to escape his attention, she got up and moved off – but he followed her all the way to a nearby bus stop outside the Tilly Shilling pub on 1 Road.
Man Strokes Girl’s Face Before Vanishing
Disturbingly, the man then stroked her face with the back of his hand several times before finally walking off. The girl was left shaken and scared by the unwanted contact.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
- The suspect is described as an Asian man, aged 40-50.
- He stands just over 5ft 6ins tall, slim build.
- He has slicked-back black or brown hair, patchy with a bald spot on top.
- A distinctive gold tooth shines on the left side of his mouth.
- He wore a navy blue trench coat with a big collar and scruffy trainers.
- He was carrying a Sainsbury’s carrier bag.
PC Chris Brown from 1 Police Station said: “This is a concerning incident that has left the aggrieved feeling very scared and upset.”
