Thieves smash down Door of Isle of Wight Property but Escape empty Handed

Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary in Freshwater.

The front door of a house in The Nurseries, Freshwater was damaged between 6.45pm on Saturday, December 10 and 11.30am on Sunday, December 11. Entry to the house was not gained. PC Tom Wyld from Newport Police Station said: “Have you seen anyone in the area approaching houses or trying front doors? If so, please call me on 101 quoting 44160466475. “At this time of year, remember our Safer Homes advice. This includes locking your doors, garages and side gates, using security lights and looking out for your neighbours.”
