Teen Moped Rider Caught with Stun Gun and Drugs in High-Speed Stop
A teenage moped rider was arrested and charged after a daring police stop in North London.
High-Speed Chase Ends on Alexander Road
At around 8:20pm on Tuesday, 11 February, officers from the Met’s Operation Venice Command were patrolling the Islington and Haringey areas. When a moped rider spotted the police TPAC cars and motorcycles, he sped off recklessly.
Police motorbikes, backed by marked squad cars, gave chase and safely pulled the rider over on Alexander Road, N19.
Stun Gun and Drugs Found at the Scene
The teenager was stopped, searched, and immediately arrested after officers discovered a stun gun in his possession. Further searches revealed a stash of drugs, including Class B cannabis and Class A heroin and crack cocaine, with intent to supply.
Teen Charged and Remanded to Court
The Met has charged the teenager with:
- Possession of a stun gun or similar incapacitation device
- Possession of Class B cannabis
- Possession with intent to supply Class A heroin
- Possession with intent to supply Class A crack cocaine
The suspect appeared in court on Thursday, 13 February after being remanded in custody.
