Police rushed to Turner Road just before 1am on Sunday, 20 September, after a woman reported she had been raped.
Multiple Arrests in Rape Investigation
On the afternoon of Sunday, 20 September, two 18-year-olds, two 17-year-olds, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of rape. Another 17-year-old was arrested the following day, Monday 21 September.
All six were later released without charge and will face no further action.
New Arrests as Case Develops
Two more suspects were arrested on 30 September. One 17-year-old boy was bailed until 28 October.
The eighth suspect, 18-year-old Abdelarahman Saleh Adam from Gathorne Road, Wood Green, was charged with rape. He appeared at portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 October, and was remanded in custody.
