Child Sex Predator Jailed for Nearly 11 Years
David Millan Sentenced for Abusing Three Vulnerable Children
David Millan, from Brunswick Place in the town centre, was locked up at Northampton Crown Court on Friday, November 13. He will serve a minimum of 10 years and 8 months for the “serious and prolonged sexual abuse” of three vulnerable children.
18 Offences Including Sex with Minors and Child Porn
Millan was found guilty of 18 offences, which included sexual activity with children aged between 14 and 16, distributing indecent images, and paying for the sexual services of a child. His chilling crimes spanned years and showed calculated manipulation.
Deceptive Predator Who Groomed Victims’ Families
Under police watch by the MOSOVO team, Millan was arrested in November 2019 after one victim came forward. Despite overwhelming evidence, he protested his innocence in court.
Judge David Herbert slammed Millan, saying: “You have no shame for what you have done and you are entirely without remorse. You have trampled all over the principles of human decency.”
Detective Sergeant Alison Brayfield praised the courage of the victims and exposed Millan as a “dangerous, predatory sexual deviant” who fooled the families of his victims.
“This was a lengthy, complex investigation because Millan groomed the victims’ parents who thought he was honest and decent. Nothing could be further from the truth,” she said.
“I hope now Millan is behind bars, his victims can begin to move on while he reflects on his sickening, abhorrent behaviour.”
