Police Snatch Stolen Builders’ Tools and Trailer in Hoads Wood Raid
Two police officers on patrol in Hoads Wood stumbled upon a stolen haul worth thousands this Thursday lunchtime. The pair were out tackling rural crime when fresh tyre tracks caught their eye leading deep into the wood. Following the trail, they uncovered a trailer loaded with builders’ tools and a generator—all believed to be stolen.
Officers Nab Stolen Tools and Trailer
At around 12:30pm on 6 January 2022, the officers traced the tyre tracks and found the trailer hidden in the woods. Using their 4×4, they dragged the trailer to the wood entrance and seized everything on site. Police say these high-value items, including the trailer itself, had obviously been nicked.

The operation was led by the Rural Task Force—a specialist unit dedicated to battling rural crime. They work with groups like the RSPCA, RSPB, and local councils to tackle issues affecting countryside communities.
