Man Fighting for Life After Brutal Norwich Street Attack

Police are hunting for answers after a serious assault in Norwich left a man with life-threatening injuries.

Violent Attack Shakes St Vedast Street

Officers rushed to St Vedast Street just before 2.30am on Saturday 19 March following reports of an assault. Emergency services found a man in his 20s badly hurt and rushed him first to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, then transferred him to Addenbrookes Hospital where he remains critical.

Two Arrested as Police Probe Brutal Incident

Two men—one in his late teens and the other in his 20s—were arrested later that afternoon on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH). Both were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

A police cordon at the scene was lifted just before 3.40pm, but officers continue to investigate.

Investigators are urging anyone who was near St Vedast Street between 2.10am and 2.30am to come forward. If you have dashcam or CCTV footage, contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting crime number 36/20359/22. Alternatively, report anonymously on 0800 555 111.
