Public Urged to Take Extra Care Amid Scorching Conditions
Firefighters warn visitors to stay vigilant this weekend. “With extreme heat making the ground dry and tinderbox-ready, fires can spread in seconds,” they said. The advice is clear:
- No barbecues, campfires, or bonfires
- Dispose of cigarettes and rubbish responsibly, including glass bottles
- Take special care when enjoying the countryside
Stay safe and think before you light up — our tinder-dry countryside can’t take the heat!
