Massive Cannabis Haul Worth £100K Seized in Rishton
Police swooped on a High Street property in Rishton last month. Inside, officers found a vast stash of cannabis plus sweets laced with the drug. These cannabis edibles, disguised as candy, are dangerously appealing to children but pack a potent punch with high THC levels.
Three Arrested and Charged Following Drug Bust
After further investigations, three locals from Hyndburn were arrested on Wednesday, June 29th. Daniel Smedley, 32, of Walmsley Street; Kristen Hall, 28, of Spring Street; and Richie Gardiner, 28, of Hermitage Street—all Rishton residents—have been charged with cannabis production. They are due to face Blackburn Magistrates’ Court today, June 30th.
Previous Suspect Also Charged
Leonard Perkins, 31, of no fixed address, had already been charged in connection with the cannabis operation before the recent arrests.
