Teen Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Abington Street Attack
On Saturday, August 20, at around 4.30pm, chaos erupted near the Market Square intersection on Abington Street. An 18-year-old was viciously assaulted while walking with his partner.
Detective Chief Inspector Shelley Nichols revealed, “The victim remains in serious condition in hospital.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
DCI Nichols made a direct plea: “If you were in the area and saw what happened, please come forward and help our investigation.”
She also called on the attacker to do the right thing: “I would like to appeal to the person responsible for this assault to come forward.”
