Man Assaulted on Stapleford Lane in Broad Daylight
Police rushed to Stapleford Lane, Toton, just after 2pm yesterday (29 October) following reports of a violent attack. Passing motorists witnessed the assault and quickly alerted officers.
First Aid Given at Scene Before Hospital Transfer
Officers found the victim injured at the roadside and administered first aid. An ambulance then transported him to Queen’s Medical Centre. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Suspect Arrested and Later Released on Bail
A 24-year-old man spoke to police over the phone after the incident, then voluntarily handed himself in at Central Police Station, nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham. He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been bailed with strict conditions while the investigation continues.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Evidence
Detective Inspector Paul Lefford said: “We will not tolerate this sort of violent disorder on our streets and are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice. We have arrested a suspect but our inquiries are ongoing. I urge anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV, dash-cam, or mobile phone footage to come forward.”
