Range Rover Crash at Park Royal Kills Woman
Rida Kazem, 23, faces serious charges after a deadly smash at Park Royal Underground station. He’s been charged with causing serious injury by reckless driving and failing to provide a blood sample. Kazem, from Greenford, has been bailed and will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court in January.
Tragedy on the Tracks
Yagmur Ozden, 33, tragically died in the early hours of August 22 when a high-speed collision between a Tesla and a Range Rover sent the latter crashing onto the Tube tracks. The Range Rover was badly crushed in the impact.
Ozden, who lived in Finchley and was born in Baghdad, Iraq, worked as a beautician in london/" title="London">London. An inquest into her death began in August but was adjourned.
Massive Police Response
The Metropolitan Police launched a large-scale operation involving a crane to clear the wreckage. Alongside Ms Ozden’s death, a 26-year-old woman was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.
Family Support and Next Steps
The victim’s family has been informed of the charges and is receiving support from officers. Kazem’s court case is set for January 10, as the investigation continues.
